Who is eligible to receive an LCLF Fellowship?

Applicants must have faculty or faculty emeritus status at an institute of higher education at the time of application and during the entire time covered by the fellowship. U.S. citizens and non-U.S. citizens are eligible.

Is the suggested limit of 2,000 words for the project proposal a strict limit?

It is not a strict limit, but we do ask that you aim for clarity. Note that the budget and any bibliography you would like to include can be thought of as separate from the proposal.
Can my recommender submit his or her letter in a language other than English?

Yes. Letters written in French, German, or Italian will be accepted. Please email lclf@fas.harvard.edu if your recommender would like to write in a different language.
