Yes. LCLF funds cannot be used for overhead/indirect costs: e.g., retirement contributions, insurance and other benefits, taxes such as FICA, etc. Candidates cannot apply for funds to cover summer salary. Please contact lclf@fas.harvard.edu with specific questions.
Each institution has its own policies about how to receive funds for salary replacement and funds for research. Reach out to the sponsored research office at your institution for guidance. Checks can be made out to you or your institution.
Unused funds should be returned at the end of the project period. A check can be made out to Harvard University and sent to the address below. (Please reference the grant recipient's name.)
